Effective August 20, 2026
The short version
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and WishOn (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the WishOn mobile application, website, or related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Services immediately.
You represent that you are at least 13 years old and, if under 18, have obtained parental or guardian consent.
WishOn provides a platform for creating wishlists, sharing them, and receiving voluntary gifts or contributions. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for your interactions with other Users.
All product information, including images, descriptions, pricing, availability, and quality, is provided solely by External Retailers. WishOn does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for:
All gifts and contributions made through WishOn are voluntary and non-binding. WishOn does not guarantee that a User will receive a gift, that contributions will be used for their intended purpose, that a wishlist item will be purchased, that contributors or recipients will act in good faith, or that contributions will be refunded.
Contributions are closed-loop. A contribution is applied to the item price of the specific wish it was made against, is capped at the amount still needed so a wish is never overfunded, and never becomes cash in anyone's hands. Neither contributions nor WishOn Credits can be withdrawn, transferred to a bank account, sent to another User as cash, or redeemed outside the Services.
WishOn is not liable for disputes between Users, misuse of contributions, fraudulent campaigns, failed or incomplete gifting, or dissatisfaction with gifts or contributions. We may freeze, remove, or investigate any campaign or contribution suspected of fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms, and we apply velocity, device and payment-risk checks that may delay or decline a payment.
WishOn does not store or process payment card numbers. All card transactions are handled by third-party Payment Processors, currently Stripe, under their own terms. WishOn receives only a payment token and non-sensitive metadata such as card brand, last four digits and the outcome of the charge.
Contributor checkout. One hundred percent of the contribution amount funds the gift. On top of that amount, the contributor pays a WishOn support fee of four percent (4%) of the contribution, an optional tip if one is chosen, and the card processing fee charged on the whole authorised amount, currently 2.9% plus US$0.30. Every line is itemised on screen before you confirm, and the total shown is the amount your card is charged.
Recipient (owner) checkout. When a wish is fully funded, the recipient pays the seller's tax and shipping, a WishOn service fee of four percent (4%) of that tax and shipping amount, and the card processing fee on the resulting charge, currently 2.9% plus US$0.30. Tax and shipping are pure pass-through amounts; WishOn does not set, estimate, mark up or discount them.
Fee reversals. Fees and tips are payment for a service that has already been delivered, so a refund does not return the WishOn support fee or the tip where the refund is requested by the payer or caused by the payer not completing a required step. Where the seller or WishOn caused the failure, the support fee and any tip are reversed pro-rata so WishOn does not profit from a gift that failed. Card processing fees are retained by the processor on any refund and are therefore not returned.
Chargebacks. If a payment is reversed by a bank as a dispute, the full charge is pulled back, the processor retains its processing fee and may bill an additional dispute fee, and WishOn reverses the related support fee and tip in its records. WishOn may suspend an account, restrict money movement, and recover amounts owed following a dispute or a payment made with a stolen or unauthorised instrument.
Currency and records. All amounts are denominated and charged in United States dollars. Every charge, fee, refund, credit issuance, credit spend, merchant purchase and reversal writes an append-only ledger entry that WishOn retains as a financial record and reconciles against processor events.
Fund separation. WishOn keeps its own revenue, funds held on behalf of Users, and funds used to purchase gifts from sellers in separate accounting buckets, and does not use contributor funds to meet its own operating expenses. WishOn is not a bank, money transmitter, escrow agent or stored-value provider, and Credits are not deposits and are not insured.
Fee changes. WishOn may change its fee schedule prospectively. Amounts always shown at checkout govern that transaction, and a change never applies retroactively to a payment already taken.
When a wishlist item reaches one hundred percent of its item price, WishOn prepares checkout with the External Retailer using the product link on the item and the Recipient's verified delivery address. Tax and shipping figures are supplied by the Retailer's checkout system. WishOn does not estimate, set, discount or guarantee them, and they may change if the Retailer changes them, if stock or pricing changes, or if the delivery address changes.
Contributions fund the item price only. The Recipient is solely responsible for paying sales tax, shipping, any delivery upgrade selected, the WishOn service fee and processing fee on that checkout, and any duty or import charge. WishOn does not pay these amounts and does not deduct them from contributions.
Address confirmation and locking. Before checkout opens, the Recipient's delivery address must pass address verification and be eligible for the Retailer's delivery network; addresses that a Retailer will not ship to, including certain post office boxes and unsupported regions, will block fulfillment until they are corrected. Once a wish is fully funded and checkout begins, the delivery address is locked; changing it invalidates the quote and requires a fresh tax and shipping quote before payment can be taken.
Quote drift. Tax and shipping are quoted live and are only valid for the checkout session in which they were issued. If the Retailer's figures move before payment settles, WishOn blocks the charge, shows the Recipient the updated amounts, and requires the Recipient to review and confirm the new total. Drift between the quoted and final seller amounts is logged for audit.
WishOn will not place the order until the Recipient's payment succeeds. If the Recipient does not complete this step, the item remains unpurchased and is governed by the deletion and expiration rules in the Contribution & Money Movement Policy.
Where WishOn places the order, it does so as buyer of record using its own merchant payment method, solely as a service to the Recipient. Title to the product passes to the Recipient on delivery. The Retailer remains responsible for the product, its description, stock, price, packaging, carriage and any statutory guarantee, and the Retailer charges and remits any applicable sales tax at checkout. WishOn does not remit sales tax on wishlist items and does not provide tax advice.
Delivery tracking. WishOn records order, dispatch, in-transit, delivered and returned states from the Retailer or carrier and surfaces them to the Recipient with carrier and tracking detail. Contributors see funded, purchased and delivered milestones only, and never see the Recipient's address, tracking number or order reference.
If the order cannot be placed, fails at the Retailer, or is cancelled by the Retailer, WishOn returns the Recipient's tax, shipping and associated WishOn service fee as WishOn Credits or, at WishOn's discretion, to the original payment method, and returns the funded item price to contributors as Credits under the applicable policy. Once an order is placed, tax and shipping payments are non-refundable except where the Retailer refunds WishOn, in which case WishOn passes the recovered amount on. Returns, damage, loss in transit, late delivery and warranty claims are handled with the Retailer or carrier under their terms; WishOn may assist but does not assume their obligations.
Where a Retailer refunds a purchase after the order was placed, WishOn records the seller refund reference, settles the recovered amount to the affected Recipient and contributors pro-rata as WishOn Credits, and notifies everyone involved. Settlement is normally completed within a small number of business days of the funds being received.
WishOn may decline, delay or cancel fulfillment where an item is prohibited, where the Retailer is unsupported or blocked, where verification is incomplete, where the delivery address cannot be verified, or where fraud or abuse is reasonably suspected.
WishOn operates an optional identity assurance programme known as Enhanced Verification (“EV-Tier”). EV-Tier exists to confirm that a User is who they claim to be, to reduce fraud and impersonation, and to permit the safe release of higher value functionality within the Services.
Enrolment in EV-Tier is voluntary. Completion of EV-Tier is nevertheless a condition precedent to certain high trust actions, and WishOn may decline, suspend, or revoke access to those actions where verification is incomplete, withdrawn, expired, or unsuccessful.
By initiating Enhanced Verification you request that WishOn and its verification providers collect, process, and assess the categories of information described in the Privacy Policy, and you consent to the recalculation of your Trust Score and Trust Level on the basis of that assessment.
In connection with Enhanced Verification, and as a continuing obligation, you represent, warrant, and undertake that:
You may withdraw your consent to Enhanced Verification at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Withdrawal is prospective only and does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of your consent, nor does it override records WishOn is required to retain for legal, regulatory, audit, or fraud prevention purposes.
Where verification fails, is withdrawn, or is reasonably suspected of being fraudulent, WishOn may reduce your Trust Level, restore standard limits, restrict public contributions, withhold or reverse pending money movement, suspend the account, or terminate access to the Services. Where WishOn suspects unlawful conduct, it may report the matter to the appropriate authorities.

Users may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Services.
The Services may contain links to External Retailers, Payment Processors, identity verification providers, or other third-party platforms. WishOn may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time for violations, suspected fraud, failed or fraudulent verification, or operational reasons.
WishOn may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
